It was a refreshing idea to start off 2009 in a different city, different country, different state of mind. That idea manifested itself 7 months ago. I barely made it half way through 2008 before getting distracted. I'm actually improving.
In a little more than a week I will be embarking on a lengthy journey back to the Philippines. I'm going to try to write down my thoughts and commemorate my trip in a visual way. You know, blog it out. I find enjoyment and a certain sense of clarity in writing and I finally have the luxury of writing for pleasure again now that school's done. But I've tried this many a time before and failed miserably. Again, the distractions.
I'll give it a real honest try this time.
But for now, I need to continue preparing. That balikbayan box won't pack itself now will it? Good thing there's a real live balikbayan here who can do it right. She's the one holding the tape and the rope.
